THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
Working within the Finance Division, the Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role as a resource to assist the company with sophisticated analysis of budgets, planning, and project control; as well as support project personnel with project budgeting and analysis of costs. Reporting directly to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis, they will work closely with a cross functional team of Contracts, Program Management, and Accounting personnel. 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Set up and maintain needed project structure in CostPoint
  • Provide cost and schedule analysis for selected programs
  • Assist in company’s annual budget and monthly forecasts
  • Assist in the preparation of required and ad-hoc reports   
  • Interface with accounting to assure proper project accounting
  • Assist with department and company financial analysis and planning
  • Assist with development of project financials, program performance reviews and project estimates (EAC & ETC) and project reporting
  • Applying effective processes and methodologies to collect forecast information and supplementing with statistical analysis. 
  • Identifying and developing process improvements to streamline reporting and improve efficiency.
  • Financial support for capital planning and key internal projects
  • Preparing and analyzing income statement, balance sheet and cash flow variances

BACKGROUND PROFILE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required, MBA and/or CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience; defense, aerospace, and/or manufacturing industries preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office products, specifically Excel and MS Project
  • Knowledge of Deltek CostPoint ERP Financial and Project modules
  • Knowledge of Federal government contract project cost control
  • Strong logical and analytical problem solving abilities
  • Good Oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance (i.e. U.S. Citizen/Person, Clean Background, etc.)
