A fast growing high tech company specializing in advanced military defense, homeland security, and energy solutions. We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist that has a "can do" attitude to play a key role in identifying, assessing and selecting our future workforce. The position is within a recruiting team in the Administrative Operations Department and will support 4 key areas: talent sourcing, diversity recruiting, training, and AAP recruitment coordination. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a very dynamic research and development setting with a number of Ph.D. level engineers and scientists developing novel solutions for the DoD, DOE, NASA, and other federal agencies.

•Conducts recruiting efforts for a broad range of scientific, engineering, and manufacturing positions with a goal of facilitating the right candidate to hire in a timely manner, while meeting all EEO requirements.
•Develop appropriate short and long-range hiring strategies and a package to present to candidates highlighting corporate culture and profile of the company.
•Use a variety of methods (including data mining of the internet, cold calling, on-line databases, social media, internal database, employee referrals, and outplacement events, etc.) to source candidates that meet the target profile, using screening techniques to reduce the candidate pool.
•Screen resumes and conduct preliminary interviews as required. Screen candidates for availability, interest level, citizenship status, salary range, relocation needs, and basic qualifications. Evaluate factors such as experience, education, skills, training, fit within the company, and future potential matches to job requisitions.
•Coach/ hold training sessions with hiring managers on sound recruiting practices, and interview techniques.
•Manage interview schedules, collect feedback in a timely manner, and facilitate hiring decisions including conducting de-briefing sessions, conducting reference checks, and coordinating offer letters by working with management and HR to develop an attractive offer package.
•Develop pre-arrival package and set up office for new hires (contact list, schedule of people to meet during the first week, office supplies, facility maps, operations of phone/paging, computer (email), and gives a tour of the facility).
•Participate/assist in recruiting efforts at conferences, technical recruiting events, and university career fairs.
•Generate reports of employment activity as required (time-to-fill metric, open requisitions, candidates, etc.).
•Administer processes and procedures in line with Affirmative Action Plan requirements and documentation.

•A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent years (5+) of experience required.
•5+ years of experience in Corporate Recruiting or Agency Staffing and successful experience recruiting for scientific research related positions.
•Excellent communication skills are required; verbal and writing.
•Solid MS Office computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
•Must apply organization strategies and goals in performing basic staffing/recruitment activities.
•Apply knowledge of the organization, strategic goals, and culture in developing, communicating about, and implementing staffing/recruiting practices.
